A dream I had last night
I got bit by a poisonous snake, so I was trying to get some free healthcare. Specifically, I tried to pretend I was married to this girl I had never met before. All this took place at Tumblr HQ, where they had a doctor, and people who were supposed to tell if you were qualified to see the doctor. So I waited for a long time in the tumblr main office.
I’ve never seen this office in real life. In my dream, it was packed with hundreds of people all wearing bluetooth headsets. They worked extremely hard, and were constantly changing priorities based on what was coming out of their bluetooth. There was also some smooth jazz playing extremely loudly, so loud that you had to yell at people if you wanted to talk to them.
At one point one of the employees did something wrong. I believe he didn’t respond properly or in a timely fashion, so his boss (a lady) came over and shoved him on the floor. Then she straddled him, and berated him by sticking her face inches away from his, and telling him what a lousy job he was doing. Then he was fired.
Immediately after they offered me the job, for some reason, even though they had no idea what my qualifications were. Even though I need a job, badly, both in the dream world and in real life, I declined. It did not seem like a pleasant work environment.
